A recent article in Atlanta Inno:
After five rounds with 32 startups, thousands of votes and plenty of “Space Jam” GIFs, we’ve come down to the winner of Atlanta Inno’s second annual Tech Madness competition.
Atlanta-based ViZZ, a software company that builds virtual experiences, claimed the winner’s cup over BoxLock, an Atlanta-based startup that provides smart padlock devices for home deliveries to thwart porch pirates, by just 279 votes.
It’s a true underdog story, with a smaller seed stage company overtaking a B2C company with more than $5 million in total funding. It was a close call, though; both companies consistently received the most total votes during the last few rounds of the competition.
