Manufacton’s Production Execution Platform Provides Visibility and Real-Time Collaboration for Major Projects, Including Portland International Airport

BOSTON (June 15, 2021) – Manufacton, a production control and workflow SaaS platform for the Construction industry, today celebrates its continued partnership with Timberlab to optimize the construction lifecycle from design to manufacturing for its large-scale projects.

As the leader in full-service mass timber project delivery, Timberlab needed a technology partner to collaborate across design, manufacturing and jobsite teams to streamline operations and processes across projects. Since partnering with Manufacton in Spring of 2020 and utilizing the best-in-class software to open a new 23,000-square-foot factory in Fall 2020, Timberlab continues to realize efficiencies across its operations with a real-time centralized view of projects that supports cross-team collaboration.

Timberlab wanted to make its production as efficient as possible by optimizing communication and tracking across its design, fabrication, materials and shipping to expedite and deliver its projects – something Manufacton was well-equipped to provide.

Manufacton’s platform enables Timberlab to optimize production with real-time status updates and tracking details that inform decision-making and improve quality assurance across all projects, including its recent work on the massive redevelopment project at Portland International Airport. This project required Timberlab to fabricate 36,000 pieces of Forest Stewardship Council-certified Douglas Fir lattice and mass-plywood panels, as well as 400 80-foot glulam arches and a mass plywood roof diaphragm for a new ceiling within the airport terminal. Manufacton delivers the tools and insights needed to improve the entire workflow of Timberlab’s processes while integrating effectively with the company’s current technology stack, including design tools like Revit.
